LED LIGHT THERAPY
The LED Mask is the latest & the most advanced LED light technology used to rejuvenate & treat a multitude of conditions without the need of surgery or injections. The treatments consists of special crystalline Gel Mask which contains a host of natural ingredients, with anti-ageing, moisturising & rebalancing properties. In conjunction with the LED Mask strengthens the effect of the colour treatment. The crystalline gel mask also contains special pigments that enhance the reflection of the intense light emitted. LED is a scientific process that uses electromagnetic wavelengths in the visible light spectrum to send light into the layers of the skin to activate a reaction of cellular activity (Photo-modulation).
The tissues of the body easily absorb light, different tissues absorb different beams of light. When absorbed the specific beams of light stimulate the body’s own repair and regenerative mechanisms, so they can be used alone or in conjunction with other therapies. The low power is biochemical & not thermal. There is no heat produced to damaged living tissue. LED technology is based on unique light emitting diodes (LEDs) producing soft cold light at specific wavelengths, Red, Blue and Infrared which all have specific properties on the cells.
RED LIGHT

Red light penetrates 8-10mm into the skin. Red light treats ageing skins, and is proven to stimulate the production of collagen & elastin, reducing the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles. Red light increases circulation, hydration & lymph drainage soothing irritation and redness (Rosacea), leaving skin smoother & plumper. These wave lengths improve the skin's natural barrier function by improving the ability to retain key elements that it needs to heal & generate new collagen.
BLUE LIGHT
Destroys acne bacteria & calms overactive skin
Blue light penetrates sebaceous glands to destroy the acne P. acnes bacteria (Propionibacterium) which is photosensitive. The wave creates an anaerobic condition in the gland so the bacteria cannot survive. Blue light has powerful anti-bacterial properties & helps to normalise oil production. Blue light works to treat active acne, reduces inflammation, redness, Rosacea & shrinks enlarged pores. An excellent treatment for teenagers.
INFRARED
Increases cell regeneration & renewal
Near Infrared penetrates 25mm into the skin stimulating collagen remodelling. Near Infrared works on the deepest layers of the skin cells. It is incorporated into all of the modes on the Illumination mask, significantly promoting the skins healing process, and accelerating cellular renewal. Clients with Epilepsy should consult their doctor before beginning LED light therapy treatments.

You must wait five days after Botox or cosmetic fillers.

People with a history of skin cancer.

Systemic Lupus erythematosus should also avoid this kind of treatment.

The use of photosensitizing medications (i.e. lithium, melatonin, phenothiazine antipsychotics and certain antibiotics).

Diseases that involve the retina of the eye (such as diabetes).
POST TREATMENT ADVICE:

Apply a sunscreen with an SPF30+ on a daily basis.

Don’t clean your skin in the evening after your treatment.

Allow the products to soak in and work overnight.

Avoid wearing makeup for 12 hours after treatment.

Gently cleanse your skin using a mild cleanser for the next 48 hours.

Avoid sunbeds and tanning in direct sunlight for 12 hours after treatment.

Avoid saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 12 hours after treatment.

It can be used as a one-off treatment. Usually a course of 3-6 treatments in 1-2 week intervals are recommended with maintenance treatments once monthly.

Results & the response to treatment varies from person to person.
